The Y knockout is the YAKKL company and product mark. Use it consistently rather than introducing a product qualifier or a second visual identity.

Clear space and size

Clear space on all sides equals the disc's radius.
Y knockout: minimum 16px.

Stretch, rotate, or skew the mark.
Recolour outside the palette below.
Add shadows, glows, gradients, or outlines.
Place on a busy or low-contrast background.

Colour

Every accent has two values

Each accent is tested against its own ground. One hex for both themes is a common palette failure, so dark and light surfaces use deliberate values.

Success, warning, error, and info colours exist but are semantic only — they never carry brand identity.

Typography

A serif against monospace

High-contrast serif paired with monospace UI — distinctive in developer tooling, where nearly everything is one sans against itself. All faces are self-hosted; there is no font-CDN dependency.

Display

Cormorant Garamond

Variable, self-hosted. Falls back to Iowan Old Style, Palatino, Georgia.

Body

Instrument Sans

Falls back to system UI sans. This is what the site ships today.

Mono

JetBrains Mono

Labels, figures, and code. Falls back to SF Mono, Menlo, Consolas.
